Lot 9. Tommy John’s 1985 Oakland Athletics’ Game-Used Road Uniform. Tommy joined the Athletics in mid-season and pitched in 12 games. This road uniform is the only substantial A’s item in the collection. It comprises a Rawlings size 46 green jersey with a “1985 Set 1” tag, pants with an “85 * 36” tag and John’s name and number handwritten on separate labels, and a pair of Mizuno shoes. John’s name and number are on the back of the jersey, which shows light use. He signed the pants, which show good use. He also signed both shoes. The uniform is accompanied three green-sleeved undershirts worn by John and two with yellow sleeves, a green windbreaker autographed by John and a lightweight jacket from an A’s golf tournament. Kevin Keating authenticated the autographs, which are nm-m 8 or mint 9. If requested, John will autograph the jersey and personalize the signature. Winning Bid $666.
