Harvey Haddix Autographed Pittsburgh Pirates 1978 Jersey.

Lot 41. Harvey Haddix Autographed Pittsburgh Pirates 1978 Jersey. “The Kitten,” as Haddix was known, signed the tail of a Pirates retail jersey. The style of jersey is uncommon. His autograph is nm-m 8 and authenticated by Kevin Keating. Haddix may be most widely remembered for pitching 12 perfect innings for Pittsburgh against the Milwaukee Braves on May 26, 1959. He then lost the game in the 13th inning. When the Pirates won Game 7 of the 1960 World Series, he was the winning pitcher. As a coach, Haddix won another World Series with the Pirates in 1979. He was a three-time All-Star whose career record was 136-113. He died in 1994. Winning Bid $444.
