Lot 69. Boog Powell Hillerich & Bradsby 016 Professional Model Bat from Tommy John. The uncracked game-ready 35” bat has Powell’s uniform number on the top of the barrel and the knob. A four-time All-Star, Powell was the A.L.’s MVP in 1970. He belted more than 30 home runs four times. On the back, this 1977-79 bat has four small mounting holes that could easily be repaired. There is some glue on the right barrel. John, who obtained this bat directly from Powell during 1978-83, has provided a Letter of Provenance. Winning Bid $134.
