Centered toward the bottom, the front has an ex appearance. The line extending from Smith’s left knee appears to be in the photo, which shows excellent contrast, rather than a crease. The blank back has light marks consistent with time in an album. Smith was born in Canada. In 1890, he was captain of the N.L. Boston Beaneaters. Winning Bid $198.
