Lot 155. 1888 N172 Old Judge Smiling Al Maul (Pittsburgh) Graded 50 VG-EX 4 by SGC. Centered toward the bottom, the front has an ex or better appearance, including a strong photograph. A horizontal crease well toward the bottom and apparent only on the clean blank back dictates the grade. SGC lists 1887 as the date for the card, but it’s from the 1888 series.
