Sadly, Resnik is best remembered as one of the seven crew members who perished when the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded after take-off on Jan. 28, 1986. She was the first American Jewish astronaut to go into space, the first Jewish woman, the second U.S. woman and only the second Jew. Her autographs are seldom seen and widely coveted, particularly on official photos. This is the first we have offered. Her signature, inscribed to “Michael,” is mint 9 authenticated by Kevin Keating.
