Lot 109. 15 Tommy John Signed Photos and a Super Teams Bicycling Plaque. The photos show John with others sports figures or celebrities. There also are 23 unsigned photos. Eight photos are laminated to wood plaques. John signed atop the lamination. All of his signatures are authenticated by Kevin Keating and grade mint 9 or gem mint 10. Some autographs are on 8” x 10” photos laminated on plaques approximately 10.5” x 12.5”. One shows John as a member of the 1978 Super Teams, including such athletes as Roger Staubach, Lyle Alzado, George Brett and Steve Garvey. Accompanying this photo is an autographed 5” x 7” plaque given to John for winning the bicycling in reverse competition! A picture of a tricycle is on the plaque. Others photos show him with George Steinbrenner (each holds a golf ball); President Gerald Ford and Charlie Pride; Pat Boone; Wayne Newton and Julius Erving, and Ron Cey and his wife. Two smaller photos are on plaques about 7” x 10”: John with Glenn Campbell, and with Steve Lawrence, Tommy Lasorda and other Dodgers. Six 8” x 10” b&w photos picture John with: Frank Lary, Smoky Burgess and Gene Freese at a birthday celebration; Milton Berle, and Jerry Lewis. Three of these photos capture him in a dance routine with other LA Dodgers. An 8” x 10” photo shows him at a celebrity golf event, and a 5” x 7” photo, with Peter Falk (Columbo). Figures in the unsigned photos include Don Drysdale; Don Sutton; Phil Simms and Lawrence Taylor; Jim Palmer; Randy Jones; Tracy Austin; Joe Theismann (2); Ron Hansen, and Steve Garvey.
