Lot 108. 5 Large Images Autographed by Tommy John. All of the signatures are large and bold, gem mint 10. During a 288-win career that spanned 1963-89, John pitched for six teams, and five are represented in this collection. John’s career began with Cleveland, and his autograph is on a 29.25” x 37.5” black & white 1963 photo that shows him next to Sam McDowell. Mounted on thick paper, the photo is vg+ to ex. For the Chicago White Sox, John’s image and autograph are on a 24” x 35” color poster, which technically grades vg but looks better. Representing John’s successful stint with the LA Dodgers is a superb 16” x 20” photo on canvas, which shows a couple of small cracks. The photo is framed to 23.5” x 27.5”. John’s autographs are also on a 16” x 20” New York Yankees photo (nm-m) framed to 20.5” x 24.5” and an original 19” x 24” watercolor (ex-m) done by a fan in 1983.
