Lot 231.  Larry Fitzgerald Autographed NFL Wilson Football. Fitzgerald’s autograph is large, bold and mint 9 to gem mint 10 in silver on a panel of a Wilson NFL “Official Size” composite leather football. Playing for the Arizona Cardinals since 2004, Fitzgerald is one of the NFL’s best wide receivers. He is the youngest player to reach 11,000 receiving yards and currently is 17th on the all-time career yards list. He is an eight-time Pro Bowl selection in 11 full seasons. At Pitt in 2003, Fitzgerald was an All-American and earned the Fred Biletnikoff Award, Paul Warfield Trophy and Walter Camp Award. He was runner-up in the Heisman Trophy voting.

Lot 232.  Dick Kazmaier, 1951 Heisman Trophy Winner, Autographed Football. Playing halfback and quarterback, Kazmaier led Princeton University to 9-0 seasons in 1950 and 1951, good enough for a sixth-place finish in the AP final poll. By one account, in his Princeton career, he handled the ball 289 times and gained 2,404 yards, or an average of 8.32 yards each time he touched the ball. Drafted by the Chicago Bears, he chose instead to attend Harvard Business School and pursue a business career. He served as a director of the American Red Cross, director of the Ladies Professional Golfers Association, chairman of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition under Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush and president of the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame. Kazmaier died in 2013. His autograph in silver is large and bold on a Pete Rozelle Official NFL football. He added “Heisman 1951.” The ball is used and underinflated. The signature, authenticated by Kevin Keating and JSA Authentication, is nm-m 8. Generally nm-m 8 and better signatures by Lance Allworth (personalized), Chuck Bednarik, Raymond Berry, Lou Creekmur, Willie Davis, Charlie Joiner, Stan Jones, Sonny Jurgensen, Jim Langer, Yale Lary, Larry Little, Gino Marchetti, Ollie Matson, George McAfee, George Musso, Tex Schramm, Ernie Stautner, Mick Tingelhoff (mint signature on water-stained card), Charley Trippi and Dave Wilcox. All of the cards are unlined.
