Lot 191. 4 Newspapers Covering the Giants vs. Yankees 1921 World Series. The Giants won the World Championship in the seventh game of this eight-game series. The “Boston American” provides extensive Series coverage on the front page and inside. Two different editions from Oct. 11 provide coverage, and one carries the front-page headline “Babe Ruth Forced to Quit Series.” The papers are generally vg with holes along the left side from having resided in a large newspaper binder. The pages are somewhat brittle, and many have separated along the spine.
