Lot 126. Signed Steelers “Steel Curtain” Photos – Greene, Greenwood, Holmes and White. The Pittsburgh Steelers dominated the NFL in the 1970s, and the defensive line of Joe Greene, L. C. Greenwood, Ernie Holmes and Dwight White was a primary contributor to their success. Each lineman has signed an 8” x 10” color photo with his image. The autographs are strong gem mint 10s, and the photos are matted and framed to about 11 ½” x 14 ½”. Greenwood signed in gold sharpie, and the others, in blue. Two photos show the Steelers battling their chief NFC rivals, the Dallas Cowboys. In one, White closes in on Roger Staubach. In another, Holmes stands over the Cowboys’ Hall of Fame quarterback. Both White and Holmes died in 2008; White was 58, and Holmes, 59. These four framed photos will make an impressive addition to a game room or sports bar. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
