Lot 98.  Early, Impressive Michael Jordan Library Placard Sponsored by Coca-Cola. A very young Jordan encourages students to “Stay in School” in this 18” x 23 ¾” “No Brain No Gain” poster that is laminated to 3/8” board. Ex with minor corner creases and some corner wear on the board.

Lot 100.  11 Different 1962-65 Kahn’s Basketball Including Robertson, West. Six of these scarce cards are from 1962-63 and constitute more than one-half of the set. All six are trimmed; the grades indicate the overall appearance of the card with trimming not considered. The two horizontal cards, Bockhorn vg and Reed vg-ex, are trimmed somewhat irregularly to 3” x 4 1/8”. “Compliments of Kahn’s” remains on the Robertson card vg. The four others are trimmed just below the photo: Embry p, Hawkins vg, West p and Wolf vg-ex. The two cards from 1963-64 and the two from 1964-65 are untrimmed: 1963-64 Embry ex and Olsen vg-ex. 1964-65 McMahon ex-m+ and Robertson (facing front) ex-m+. These cards are extremely scarce in any condition.

Lot 101.  3 1960s Kahn’s Basketball Cards. The best of the group is the 1963-64 Wayne Embry, vg-ex. The 1962-63 cards of Arlen Bockhorn and Tom Hawkins have both had the Kahn’s ad trimmed away. Both p as trimmed.

Lot 102.  20 Los Angeles Clippers Autographs on Magazine Photos. The photos are on 17 full pages, some folded and some with one irregular edge. Nine pages are in color, and eight are black & white. Nine autographs are mint 9, and the others are ex 5 or better. The photos are signed by Randy Smith and Gar Heard (b&w), Bob McAdoo and Jack Marin (2), Ernie DeGregorio (signed “Ernie D”) and Bob McAdoo, Terry Cummings (2, including the Feb. 21, 1983 Sports Illustrated cover), Quintin Dailey (b&w), Dan Manning (2, one b&w), Don May (b&w), Jim McMillian, Swen Nater (b&w), Norm Nixon (2 diff., one pers.), Ken Norman (2, b&w), and Joe Wolf (b&w). Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 109.  8 Wire Photos: Basketball, Hockey, Horse Racing and Track & Field. Two from the 1960s, each 6” x 8”, represent track & field. One shows USC hurdlers Earl Vickery and Jim Humphrey, and the other, miler Glenn Cunningham. Both are vg+ to ex from International News Photos. The remaining photos are from 1965 or 1966. Wide World Photos is the source of two basketball photos, a 7” x 9” of Bill Melchioni of Villanova, MVP of the NIT, and 8” x 10” of Princeton vs. Navy at the Charlotte Invitational, vg-ex. Another Wide World 8” x 10” pictures game action involving Ron Ellis of Toronto and Pat Stapleton of Chicago, vg-ex. Three UPI photos, each about 8” x 10”, show Johnny Longden, who retired with the most wins of any jockey. Two capture him after his final ride, which he won. Ex. Decent break-up value here.
