Lot 169. Circa 1915 Advertisement for Ty Cobb Brand Sporting Goods. In 1912, Cobb bought a block of stock in the W. B. Jarvis Co., a sporting goods firm in Grand Rapids, and because a company director. Cobb is pictured in the 5 ½” x 8 ½” ad for the store, which appears to be from a magazine. The ad itself is clean and free of creases or other defects. The magazine page has several staple or punch holes along the left side and minor stains.
