Lot 168. Babe Ruth Photos, One from the 1920s and One from 1938. Both are black & white. A 1938 2 ½” x 3 ½” snapshot captures Ruth posing as the “King of Swat” on a float in a parade, possibly in Las Vegas. Ex, small corner crease outside the image area. In the 1920s photo, a candid by Bloch Brothers of St. Louis, Ruth and other Yankees consume baseball-sized ice cream balls. Joe Dugan, Earl Combs, Wilcy Moore and Hank Johnson are among the other Yankees. This 8” x 10” photo is a recent print from an original negative.
