It shares the page with a label containing the book owner’s name; the label could be matted out. In this book, a follow-on to Veeck as in Wreck, the Hall of Fame baseball executive provides a wealth of stories about and opinions on baseball. Veeck was one of baseball’s great innovators and promoters. His innovations and successes with the Cleveland Indians, St. Louis Browns and Chicago White Sox earned him a place in the Hall of Fame in 1991, five years after his death.
