Lot 153. Rare Nat Fleischer Biography of Terry McGovern. Titled Terrible Terry: The Brooklyn Terror, this 1943 biography details McGovern’s career. He held the bantamweight and featherweight titles at the turn of the century. Sadly, his life and career turned tragic and controversial, and after suffering a nervous breakdown, he passed away in a mental ward at the age of 38. Nevertheless, Fleischer ranks him the greatest featherweight of all time; read his argument in this extremely-hard-to-find 64-page publication. Vg and decently illustrated. Fleischer was the long-time editor of Ring and is generally regarded as one of boxing’s top writers of all time.
Winning Bid $10.
