Lot 107. Scarce 1960-61 Boston Celtics Yearbook-Media Guide, 1974 Softcover Book. The 24-page yearbook, which doubled as a media guide, contains facts, photos and stats of Celtics greats and near greats, including Cousy, Conley, Russell, Sam Jones, K. C. Jones, Heinsohn, Sharman and, of course, Coach Auerbach. Ex-m. 2. The Boston Celtics: A Championship Tradition, Tom Henshaw, a 128-page history with emphasis on the 1973 season. It has many wonderful images of Cowens, Havlicek, Jo Jo White and others. Ex-m+.

Lot 111. 1971 NCAA Basketball Final Four Program, 1957 Dell Basketball with HoFers. Playing in Houston, UCLA won its fifth straight NCAA championship by defeating Villanova, 68-62. Sixty-four page nicely illustrated program with photos of such stars as Sidney Wicks and Henry Bibby. Ex. The magazine has Wilt Chamberlain, Bob Pettit and others on the cover. It covers the college and pro games. Vg.

Lot 112. 5 NCAA Basketball Playoff Programs for 1977, 1979 and 1985. The 1977 and 1979 programs are for the Western Regional Championships in Provo, UT, vg-ex. Marques Johnson is pictured in the 1977 program, and Kiki Vandeweghe and Bill Cartwright in 1979. There are three copies of the program for the 1985 finals in Lexington, KT. Villanova edged Georgetown in the title game. These 144-page programs show surface rubbing on the covers; otherwise, they are ex-m to nm. Patrick Ewing, Reggie Williams, John Salley, Chris Mullin and Karl Malone are among the players pictured.

Lot 121. 7 Sports 1940s-50s Wire and Other Photos – Rupp, Moran, Mathias, Fitzsimmons. Two photos are of Olympic decathlon champion Bob Mathias, one by UPI (two images, 6” x 9”) and the other by Acme Telephoto (1949, receives sportsmanship award, 7” x 9”, vg-ex with peripheral creases, chips and tears). Horse trainer Sunny Jim Fitzsimmons is the subject of a 1953 UPI 7” x 9” photo with attached caption, vg+ to ex. Tennis player Gertrude “Gorgeous Gussie” Moran is shown shopping while holding a racquet in Paris in a 5” x 8” Acme photo with caption.
