Lot 156. 23 Baseball and Sports Hobby Calendars from the 1980s-90s. Many of these calendars feature exceptional artwork. The largest and most dramatic is the 1982 “A Century of Baseball Cards,” a 14 ½” x 22 ¼” behemoth that pictures a wide range of cards from the baseball collection of the late Stan Makowsky, a New York broadcaster. This example is nm-m in the original packaging. Five “Hallowed Ground” calendars, each 17” x 11, picture baseball parks as represented by Andy Jurinko, Bill Purdom and other artists. Ex-m for 1992-95 and 1998. A 1996 “Still Baseball” calendar has baseball still lifes by Bill Williams, nm. Five calendars feature “Great Minor League Baseball Parks,” 1987-91 and ex. Krause Publications is the source of seven calendars, including some duplicates, from the 1990s, nm.
