Lot 142. George Earnshaw (as a Basketball Player!) Framed Original 8” x 10” Sepia Photo. Earnshaw helped the A’s to reach three World Series from 1929-32. In 1923 and 1924, he was captain of the Swarthmore College basketball team. In this photo, he appears to be a member of an A’s team that participated in exhibition games. Heavy crease in the lower left, a couple of lesser creases and strong contrast.

Lot 286. 1975 Carvel Discs Basketball Set of 36 + 24 Duplicates. The set, with borders in various colors, includes Jabbar, Bradley, Cowens, Frazier, Havlicek, Phil Jackson, Monroe and more. The duplicates include Jabbar, Frazier, Jackson (2) and Monroe. As many as two-thirds of the cards have small tape marks on their blank backs, and two show ink.
