Lot 141. 5 Autographed Bats – Spahn, Slaughter, Herman, Mathews and Bauer. Two of the four Hall of Fame members signed 34” Louisville Slugger 180 bats: Enos Slaughter, and Eddie Mathews, who added “HoF ’78.” Both bats have “4” stamped on the knob, and both signatures are mint 9 to gem mint 10. Billy Herman signed a 34” Louisville Slugger #125 “Powerized” bat with “K55” on the knob. He added “H.O.F. 1975.” His signature also is strong, a 9-10. Signatures of Warren Spahn, with “HOF 73,” and Hank Bauer are on 34” Adirondack 302 bats. Spahn’s signature is a 10, and Bauer’s, a 9. The bats are nm or better. All five of these respected players have passed on. Signatures authenticated by Kevin Keating.
