Sandy Amoros Signature on an ONL White Ball.
Lot 133. Sandy Amoros Signature on an ONL White Ball. Amoros played two seasons with the New York Cubans before joining the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1950. He is best known for a game-saving catch that stopped the Yankees from rallying to win the 1955 World Series, the Dodgers’ only World Championsip while in Brooklyn. For years, Amoros was not allowed to leave Cuba, allegedly for angering Castro because he refused to manage a baseball team. He died in 1992. Gem mint 10 signature on an nm ball that has a stain on the panel above the autograph. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
Winning Bid $148.
