1930s Bisque Mickey and Minnie Mouse Couple Set of 2.
Lot 295. 1930s Bisque Mickey and Minnie Mouse Couple Set of 2. Each figurine is approximately 4 ½” tall. Mickey stands with his left hand on his hip, a cane in his right and wears a hat. The figurine is clean and chip free. It is engraved, “Mickey Mouse”, “Made in Japan” and “© Walt E. Disney.” Almost 100% of the paint is present. The original paper label remains affixed to the sole of his shoe. It reads “MICKEY MOUSE copy. 1928, 1930 by Walter E. Disney.” Minnie stands with purse in her left hand, umbrella in her right and hat upon her head. The figurine is clean, retaining about 98% of its paint. It is engraved “Minnie Mouse,” “Made in Japan” and “© Walt E. Disney.” The original paper label remains affixed to the sole of her shoe. It reads “MINNIE MOUSE Des. Pat 82802 By Walter E. Disney.” Early Mickey and Minnie bisque figurines are exceptionally desirable and, in this condition, even more so.
