Lot 441. 1960 New York at Pittsburgh Game 1 World Series Ticket Stub, Rain Check. Led by the pitching of Vernon Law and Bill Mazeroski’s less dramatic home run, the Pirates defeated the Bronx powerhouse, 6-4, to start this classic World Series. The rain check, with the stub attached, was neatly removed from the rest of the ticket. There are several light creases on the stub; a tiny spot of paper loss affects two letters on the back.
