Lot 297. Beautifully Framed 1880s Baseball Cigar Box Label. The colorful nm, 4” x 4” label shows a batter, a catcher and a formally dressed umpire. “Fair Ball” is in blue decorative type. The label is matted and framed to 8 ¾” x 8 ¾”.

Lot 301. 1888 Philadelphia Press Issue with Near-Final Baseball Standings. Teams in both the National League and the American Association had only a game or two left as this edition of the Philadelphia newspaper hit the streets. New York clinched the N.L. title, and St. Louis, the A.A. championship.
