Lot 115. 1921 Stanford U. Yearbook with 2 Olympics Champs, Other Great Sports Content. The Stanford Quad is collectible as a work of art, with fantastic graphics and excellent vintage photos. That artwork that introduces each section and many of the photos are suitable for framing. The sports content – more than 100 pages of the 500-page book, is exceptional. Among the athletes are Stanford’s Morris Kirksey and USC’s Charlie Paddock. Both won multiple gold medals at the 1920 Olympics. Thirty-two pages, including a two-page spread, are devoted to football, and 18 pages each to baseball and track. The brown leather hard cover of the yearbook has some scuffing and a ½” tear on the upper spine. Some minor writing on the inside first three pages. Wonderful sports collectible, and a work of art too!
