Lot 256. Bobo Olson Collection of 7 Wire Photos from the 1950s. In the 1950s, Olson held the world middleweight championship longer than any other boxer, from Oct. 1953 until Dec. 1955. Five photos capture Olson in the ring or preparing for a fight, against Randy Turpin in 1953, Pierre Langlois in 1954, Joe Maxim in 1955 (two different) and Maxim again in 1957. These photos are 7” x 9” or larger, range from g-vg to ex and average vg. In an 11” x 8 ½” photo from 1956, Olson is shown with his estranged wife, Helen. An 8 x 11 ½” photo from 1954 shows his wife with their three children. Vg.
