The bold red type reflects the intensity of the dispute between the two baseball icons as Ruth planned and conducted a barnstorming tour after the regular season. Landis wanted the World Series to be the single event that concluded the baseball season. Subsequently, Landis suspended Ruth for the first six weeks of the 1922 season. This original newspaper, technically f-g, has the makings of a superior display piece.
