Lot 183. Willie Stargell Signature on a Stadium Series Forbes Field Bat. Cooperstown Bat Co. produced this 34” bat, which has on the barrel an image of Forbes Field and a brief history of what Pirates broadcaster Bob Prince dubbed “The House of Thrills.” The bat, #269 of 1,000, comes with certificate from the manufacturer; “269” is engraved on the knob. Stargell signed between the Cooperstown logo and the Forbes Field information. The autograph is one of the best Stargell signatures we have seen, a large, strong 10 in sharpie.
