In this 31” x 26” print, double-matted and professionally framed to 41” x 35”, artist Robert Stephen Simon presents the highlights of DiMaggio’s career. The 56-game hitting streak, the third A.L. MVP award and election to the Baseball Hall of Fame are captured in newspaper headlines. DiMaggio is pictured on the covers of Time and Life. A portrait of DiMaggio is at the center of the collage. Issued in 1996, the print is #652 of 1,000. DiMaggio signed at the bottom in blue sharpie, and he added “#5” after his name. His large, bold signature in blue sharpie is a gem mint 10.
