PSA/DNA-Authenticated Willie Stargell Game-Used Bat from Tommy John’s Collection.
Lot 71. PSA/DNA-Authenticated Willie Stargell Game-Used Bat from Tommy John’s Collection. This uncracked 1973-75 Hillerich & Bradsby K44 bat shows excellent use, including several ball marks and ball stitch impressions on the right, left and back barrel, cleat marks on the right barrel and blue and red bat rack streaks. The 37” ash bat weighs 38.9 ounces and has a standard finish. The back has two mounting holes that could easily be repaired, and the knob has been lightly sanded. The bat does not have the “K44” model number. For a short time in the early 1970s, Louisville Slugger experienced a strike. During this period, because of reduced staff, bats were produced without the model number stamped into the knob. The bat comes with a Letter of Authenticity from both PSA/DNA and Tommy John.
Winning Bid $400.
