Lot 270. 13 Gold-Rimmed Lithographed Portrait Cards of U.S. Presidents. Exquisite etchings were used to produce these 5” x 7” portrait cards, apparently from the late 19th century. The Presidents depicted are Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, John Quincy Adams, William Henry Harrison, John Tyler, James K. Polk, Millard Fillmore, Franklin Pierce, Andrew Johnson, Rutherford B. Hayes, James A. Garfield and Chester A. Arthur. Each card has the number of the individual’s presidency lightly written on the blank back in pencil; otherwise, ex-m to nm with the gold rim intact.
